The UAE-Qatari Challenge Shield is in the grip of Shabab Al-Ahly

Guilherme Bala scored a goal and made two assists to lead Shabab Al-Ahly to a 3-1 victory over Al-Rayyan of Qatar and achieve the UAE-Qatari Challenge Shield title, in the second edition of the UAE-Qatari Football Super Cup at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Qatar, yesterday.
Shabab Al-Ahly, which won the title amid great joy, started the match in a wonderful way and succeeded in reaching Al-Rayyan’s goal in more than one opportunity, the most dangerous of which was through Bala, and Youri Cesar opened the scoring for Shabab Al-Ahly in the 28th minute with a wonderful direct shot from inside the penalty area, after a low pass. But Roger Guedes, Al Rayyan striker, made a wonderful individual effort and bypassed the defenders on the right side before passing the ball into the penalty area, so that Renan Victor, Shabab Al Ahly defender, put it into his team’s goal.
In the second half, Shabab Al-Ahly continued its dangerous counterattacks amid offensive attempts from Al Rayyan through Ashraf Bin Sharqi and Mahmoud Trezeguet, but Shabab Al-Ahly’s defense was the best in extracting the ball.
Sardar Azmoun scored the winning goal for Shabab Al-Ahly in the 52nd minute, after Bala received the ball in the middle of the field and advanced it brilliantly, before passing it to the unmarked Iranian striker, who easily put the ball into the net.
Al-Rayyan Qatar tried to possess the ball and organize the attacks, and Shabab Al-Ahly goalkeeper, Hamad Al-Muqbali, blocked Al-Rayyan’s most dangerous chances with a wonderful reaction against the player Godis, and the experience of the Shabab Al-Ahly team appeared in the last minutes, as Bala made his scoring mark in stoppage time, after a counterattack that saw three alone.
