We will not receive immigrants from America except on civilian aircraft
Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced on Sunday that US military aircraft carrying migrants deported from the United States were banned from entering.

Gustavo Pietro said on the X platform that “the immigrant is not a criminal and must be treated in a decent manner that a human being deserves.”
“This is why I returned US military planes transporting Colombian migrants,” he added, saying he would receive the migrants on “civilian planes… and they will not be treated as criminals.”
Anger at Trump
Petro’s statements came the day after the Brazilian government expressed its anger over the way the administration of US President Donald Trump dealt with dozens of Brazilians who deported from the United States.
The migrants were restrained while they were on the plane, which Brazil described as a “flagrant disregard” for their basic rights.
