Gold prices rise near the highest level ever

Gold prices rose slightly, today, Thursday, to hover near the highest level ever recorded in the previous session after it strengthened fears of the escalation of customs duties between China and the United States demanding safe haven.
Gold rose in immediate transactions 0.1 percent to $ 2867.79 an ounce.
US gold futures fell 0.2 percent to $ 2887.10.
As for other precious metals, silver in instant transactions rose 0.1 percent to $ 32.35 an ounce, and platinum increased 0.2 percent to $ 981.81, and palladium rose 0.1 percent to $ 990.66.
