1400 male and female students in the second stage of the school games championship

The second stage of the second edition of the School Games Championship witnesses the participation of more than 1,400 students from different emirates of the country in six sports, most notably jujitsu, shooting, judo, athletics, flying feather, bow and arrow, which reflects the success of the championship in attracting sports talents and enhancing sports culture School.

This stage will continue until next April, where distinguished students compete in 12 different sports, with the winners to qualify for the final stage in May, which will witness the crowning of the winners of gold, silver and bronze medals.
Football competitions start tomorrow, Saturday, followed by a flying feather and athletics for girls, while the rest of the competitions will be completed per week until the list of qualified for the finals is completed.

Expectations indicate that the number of participants exceeded 5 thousand students at the end of the season.

The event is organized in cooperation between the Emirates Sports Federation for School and University Education Institutions, the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Education, and the National Olympic Committee, in addition to a number of sports federations and educational bodies, with the aim of supporting emerging talents and achieving the targets of the national sport strategy 2031, which seeks to qualify more than 30 athletes Emirati for the 2032 Olympics.
