"Gulf Cup" For the players, they start in Kuwait tomorrow
Kuwait on February 21 / WAM / tomorrow, Saturday, the preliminary round matches will start in the first edition of the Gulf Cup for the players organized by the Gulf Football Federation, and will be hosted by the sisterly State of Kuwait, from February 22 to 26, at the Jaber Mubarak Stadium.
The tournament is witnessing the participation of 8 Gulf teams, which were distributed in two groups, as the first includes the Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman teams, while the second consists of the teams of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen.
Each match is played for 40 minutes, 20 minutes per run, to take into account the safety of the players.
Iraq and Yemen will open the championship in the first match, then the match between the Saudi national team and its Bahraini counterpart will be held, followed by the Kuwaiti team match and its Omani counterpart, then concludes the first round with the match of our national team and its Qatari counterpart.
The Kuwait Football Association announced the holding of the opening ceremony of the championship at 7 pm, under the patronage of His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al -Mutairi, Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture, Minister of State for Youth Affairs.
He also revealed several paragraphs at the opening ceremony for a period of 22 minutes, including “Dron” games, while entry tickets for matches will be launched at symbolic prices.
