Putin proposes cooperation with Washington to explore rare ground minerals

On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed a joint exploration of rare ground mineral resources with the United States, including those in the Ukrainian regions subject to the Russian occupation.
Putin said, during an interview with official television, that Russia is ready to cooperate with its partners, including the United States, in this field.
He added that his country possesses some of the largest rare mineral reserves in the world, noting its presence in northern Russia, the Caucasus, Siberia and Al -Aqsa, in addition to the occupied Ukrainian lands, which he described as “new regions.”
Putin had previously discussed the development of the mining sector with ministers and government officials during a video conference.

Restore American funds

Donald Trump confirmed on Saturday that he has been trying to “recover” the assistance of the United States provided to Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion, against the backdrop of Washington’s talks and Kiev whose axis of reaching an agreement related to Kiev mineral resources.

“I communicate with President Zellinski, and I communicate with President Putin. I am trying to restore or secure money,” Trump said.

“Europe gave money in the form of a loan, and its money will be recovered. As for us, we have given money without charge, so I want them to give us something in exchange for all the money that we paid,” Trump added.
“I will try to put an end to all this death.”
“We ask for rare minerals and oil, anything we can get,” said the American president.
Trump stressed: “We will restore our money because this is not fair. We will see what will happen, but I think we are very close to reaching an agreement, and it is better to be very close because this was a terrible situation.”
