Archive and the National Library launch " x71 "

Abu Dhabi, February 26, WAM / The archive and the national library launched, during a press conference organized yesterday at its headquarters, its societal and interactive project, X71, in the presence of the strategic partners.

The X71 project was designed in an innovative way, consistent with the general axes of society, focusing on enhancing societal ties, celebrating cultural and societal diversity, empowering youth and investing their talents to enhance their role in society.

His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Director General of the Archives and the National Library, stressed during the opening of the conference that the X71 project is concerned with the UAE culture and heritage, and it has been allocated in its first version of decoration and jewelry, and aims to share the various groups of society in expressing a topic that is chosen annually, represented by the completion of 71 Creative work, presented with an innovative and unique template, to be presented to the public in attendance In default, with the aim of strengthening the national identity in the hearts of generations, developing talents, and encouraging innovation, in a way that contributes to enriching the cultural and knowledge scene of the state.

He added: We realize that the success of this national project in achieving its desired goals is subject to cooperation and integration with the strategic partners, and the efforts of the media that is the link between us and the targeted society.

He called on cultural and artistic institutions, government agencies, educational sectors, and all community members to participate in this project and express their creativity and innovative ideas, in order to contribute to promoting cultural sustainability, and in order to be a window from which generations overlook the UAE culture and ancient heritage.

His Excellency Abdullah Al -Humaidan, Secretary -General of the Zayed Upper Foundation for the owners of determination, stressed that this distinguished event is a new step in the UAE’s march towards promoting the national identity and celebrating the culture and heritage that we are all proud of, indicating that this project constitutes a great step towards promoting societal cohesion, and is granted People with determination the opportunity to express themselves with their artistic and manual works that celebrate our cultural history.

His Excellency Suleiman Salem Al -Kaabi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Professional Development Sector at the Ministry of Education, said that this initiative comes within the framework of achieving the general community targets 2025, and consolidating national values ​​in the hearts of generations, stressing that the ministry will provide them with support, based on responsibility towards the national heritage, where The national identity is the power from which we derive our vision for a sustainable bright future.

He stressed that the ministry will work to provide all support for the project by qualifying teams of teachers to participate in its implementation, and to provide the opportunity for students to be creative and interact with its various initiatives.

His Excellency Asmaa Al Hammadi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, stressed that the project embodies the vision of the government of the United Arab Emirates, and its keenness to enhance the national identity, and introduce the UAE history and its rich culture, noting that the year 2025 represents a new turning point, as the state celebrates a year of society that reflects the commitment of all The children of society by building a sustainable society abounding with talents and creativity.

She added, that it aims to invest creative energies by involving various groups of society, including students, artists and creators, to interact and express our rich culture in innovative ways that reflect our cultural identity, and we will work together to present 71 creative works, translating visions and feelings of society, in my presence and virtual exhibition.

His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al -Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, said that the project comes from the state’s vision in promoting the national identity and reviving the Emirati heritage, and transferring it to future generations with creative methods that integrate arts and culture with modern and innovative means.

He added, that in the commission we believe that the involvement of society in cultural projects enhances cultural sustainability and deepens pride in the national identity, and we look forward to seeing the artistic creations that this project will result in, and highly appreciate the efforts of all partners and supporters who contribute to its success.

Dr. Hassania Al -Ali, an educational advisor at the Archive and the National Library, reviewed the project details as an opportunity to enhance sustainability, and from the urgent development of the country’s march towards 2071, in the faces and pictures of cooperation with strategic partners in the implementation of the project.
