Emirates Faculty of Emirates University holds a forum "Research Day"

Al-Ain, March 3 / WAM / The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Emirates University, in cooperation with the Mid Klink-El Ain Hospital, held the “Research Day” forum.
The forum reviewed the results of scientific research for university students and graduate studies, and faculty members, in the fields of medicine and health sciences and its association with artificial intelligence with the participation of a number of universities and medical colleges in the country, and the presence of Dr. Fatima Al Jasmi, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Juma Al -Kaabi, Deputy Dean, and Dr. Maryam Al -Harbi, Director of Clinical Research at Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “Health” and Dr. Tariq Shedid, Director of Medical The General Consultant of the Medicinenic – Al -Ain Hospital and a number of experts, specialists and students, in the presence of an academic and professional.
Dr. Fatima Al Jasmi confirmed that this event is a platform for creativity and innovation, discovering student talents and an opportunity to honor students and faculty members in appreciation of their efforts in consolidating the culture of scientific research within the college.
She explained that scientific research is a way to achieve change and create teams, noting that reviewing the results of research in the fields of biomedical sciences, clinical sciences, and health sciences contributes to enhancing the concepts of leadership and excellence in research and innovation
She noted the importance of various applications of artificial intelligence in developing medical and health sciences, and how to redefine modern medical practices through technology, which reflects positively on the health and safety of patients.
Dr. Maryam Al -Harbi made a comprehensive explanatory presentation on “the role of artificial intelligence in the medical field, with a focus on clinical experiences”, in which she dealt with the effect of artificial intelligence on the future of medicine, and the expected changes in medical practices as a result of these applications.
She explained that artificial intelligence carries great promises to make a transformation in the practice of medicine, but many of its practical applications are still in its early stages, which requires more research and development.
Dr. Tariq Shadid gave an introductory presentation entitled “Medical Care from the Patient Perspective”, in which he reviewed the care based on value and approach centered around the patient as one of the basic pillars to improve the quality of health care and said that educating patients and communicating properly with them contributes to enabling them and enhancing their participation in their medical journey and touched on the role of hospitals in providing distinguished health care, ensuring the highest standards of quality and individual care.
On their part, students of medicine and health sciences at the University of the Emirates participated in 17 scientific and research papers “PRESENTATION” and 70 medical research posters “POSERS” with various medical specialties related to medical biological science applications, clinical sciences and health sciences, under the supervision of faculty members and researchers in the college.
