"Dubai Women" : Investing in women’s capabilities is an essential pillar to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development
Dubai, March 8 / WAM / Naima Al Ahly, Executive Director of the Dubai Women’s Foundation, confirmed that investing in women’s capabilities is the cornerstone of enabling societies to deal with challenges and preparation for the future.
Al -Ahly noted, in a statement on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8 of each year, the pivotal role that Emirati women play in all economic, social, political, educational, cultural, health and scientific fields, thus contributing to enhancing the UAE’s leadership at the global level, thanks to the support provided by the rational leadership, and the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates” President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation.
She said that the content of the slogan announced by the United Nations to celebrate this occasion this year “for all women and girls … rights, equality and empowerment” reflects the importance of promoting women’s rights and empowering them as a basic pillar to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in any society.
She emphasized that the Dubai Women Foundation believes that investing in women’s capabilities is the cornerstone of enabling societies to deal with challenges and preparing for the future, which is what the Foundation is working to achieve through qualitative programs and leading initiatives, aimed at refining the leadership and professional skills of women and enhancing their economic contributions to translate the vision and directives of the campus of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Presidency Bureau, Her Highness Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Women Foundation.
She also affirmed that empowering women is a shared responsibility for governments and societies for a more prosperous and prosperous future, and she said: Let us make every day a new opportunity in which we celebrate the creativity of women and support their aspirations to contribute all to building a better future for future generations, in which women take the appropriate position in all parts of the world.
