King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah publishes health awareness through the “Deaf Health” campaign

The “Deaf Health” campaign included the establishment of a group of health awareness pillars in the lobby of the outpatient clinics building, affiliated health centers and mobile internal campaigns targeting the patients from patients and their companions and events in public facilities in Jeddah in cooperation with the Municipality of Jeddah Governorate, such as – Al -Mansami for walking and public parks – and public places that are witnessing a great demand from community members such as facing the marine Jeddah and the Hajj and Umrah halls complex In addition to activating deaf clinics in health at Al -Firdous Health Center and electronic campaigns by publishing health awareness videos through social media and influential people to ensure access to the largest number of beneficiaries and the arrival of health messages to all members of society in various age groups and the targeted groups to educate the fasting people on healthy fasting.

The campaign focused on introducing the beneficiaries and encouraging them on 3 main health practices that help know the health condition and the proper ways to prevent diseases, which is to conduct 8 free laboratory tests through a “deafness of health” package for exploratory blood examination in primary health centers that contribute to promoting health and early detection of diseases and determining the appropriate treatment program and walking 8 thousand steps per day as continuous usual and maintaining healthy sleep for 8 hours, especially during the night, in addition to Educating the beneficiaries on the importance of following a balanced lifestyle during the holy month of Ramadan through healthy nutrition, drinking sufficient water, practicing physical activity, following up patients with chronic diseases of their health condition and consulting a doctor to control the treatment in proportion to fasting.

The King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah and its health centers continue to be efforts to implement the “Deaf Health” campaign throughout the blessed month of Ramadan and launch qualitative initiatives that aim to enable individuals to take care of their health and raise the awareness of the health community in a sustainable way to achieve a healthier and more productive society.
