المملكة: Feet vaccines, influenza, and mandatory koruna for those wishing to perform Hajj

The Ministry of Health stressed the importance of mandatory vaccinations to ensure the health and safety of pilgrims and reduce the spread of infectious diseases during the performance of the rituals, with the approaching Hajj season for this year.
These preventive measures come within the framework of the Kingdom’s keenness to provide a healthy healthy environment for all pilgrims from all over the world, especially in light of the large human gatherings witnessed by the Hajj season annually, which increases the possibilities of transmission of infection and respiratory diseases.

The Ministry of Health explained that the list of vaccines that pilgrims must obtain before heading to the sacred feelings includes the spinal fever vaccine, a necessary vaccination aimed at preventing bacterial meningitis infection that may be transmitted in crowded environments. It is required that this vaccine be taken a period before the Hajj for a period of no less than ten days and not exceeding five years to ensure its effectiveness in protecting pilgrims and their mixes.

The seasonal influenza vaccine for pilgrims

The Ministry of Health recommends taking the seasonal influenza vaccine for all pilgrims, in order to avoid infection with influenza viruses that may lead to health complications, especially in the elderly and chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and respiratory system. The importance of this vaccination increases with the climatic changes that the sacred feelings may witness during the Hajj period, which may affect the immunity of pilgrims and make them more vulnerable to respiratory diseases.

The ministry confirmed that all the 18-year-old pilgrims are required to complete the doses of the approved Kofid-19 vaccine, according to the recommendations issued by the competent health authorities. This comes within the preventive measures aimed at reducing the risk of infection with the virus, especially in light of the continued rejuvenators and the emergence of new strains that may affect public health.

Ensure that vaccinations are obtained

The Ministry stressed the need to adhere to the time period specified for each vaccine, as pilgrims must make sure to obtain vaccinations before a sufficient period of travel, which contributes to achieving the highest levels of protection.
It also stresses the importance of reviewing the approved health centers to ensure that vaccines are obtained from reliable sources.

To facilitate the procedures for obtaining vaccinations, the Ministry of Health provides the possibility of reserving appointments through the application of “My Health”, which provides users with integrated electronic medical services that contribute to facilitating access to health care. Pilgrims can also get more information and inquiries by connecting to a unified number 937 or visiting the official website of the Ministry of Health on the Internet.
