The Minister of Health discusses the project to establish an integrated national network for digital pathology

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received representatives of a global company, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and the Future Technology Company, regarding the project of establishing an integrated national network for digital pathology, tissue and cell examination digitally from the distance & laquo; rdps & raquo; And the use of artificial intelligence.

& nbsp; Supporting the abilities of artificial intelligence, as well as the formation of an integrated database for the service of oncology research and treatments, and the various requirements for examining and analyzing tissues and cells digitally.

& nbsp; Until the meeting dealt with discussing the most important procedures that were implemented during the work of the technical studies of the project, in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, which aims to intensify efforts to implement the state’s plan for digital transformation and distance medication, and work to achieve a vision & Laquo; Egypt 2030 & Raquo; And the completion of the digital transformation of the medical system and the transformation of hospitals into attractive research centers for medical cadres, stressing that the introduction of digital pathology and artificial intelligence contributes to improving the abilities of diagnosis and treatment of oncology patients.

& nbsp; The meeting discussed the current position of digital pathology globally and locally, previous experiences at the level of the world and projects related to the project within the Ministry of Health, as well as working to localize the industry of pathological devices in Egypt and establish specialized and developed research centers in the fields of tumor treatment, in addition to discussing ways to qualify cadres, building capacity, continuous and specialized training, and introducing artificial intelligence in diagnosis and patients with patients Tumors, where the minister stressed in this regard the importance of maximizing the diagnosis and treatment of tumors at the level of the Republic. The meeting discussed the first functioning proposal for the project, and includes 3 main centers and 7 sub -centers at an estimated cost of 400 million pounds, and it is scheduled to be implemented within 6 months, provided that the central laboratories of public health in Badr City are a major laboratory for the collection, analysis and preservation of digital pathology data at the level of the Republic, and that the Nasser Institute Hospital for Research and Treatment is the main data center for preserving and analyzing organ transplant data and oncology patients at the level of the Republic, and the center National National Control and Control of Infectious Diseases & quot; CDC & quot; such as the main data center for analysis and preservation of accounting data for endemic diseases and examination and analysis of tissues and cells for preventive initiatives and diseases, as well as 4 to 5 tumors centers distributed geographically on both sides and tribal, and 3 to 4 centers specialized in women’s health, to serve Initiatives.
