المملكة: “Eastern Agriculture” warns cattle breeders of the dangers of beef and his ways of transmission to humans

Engineer Walid Al -Sheworid, Director of Agriculture Department at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in the eastern region, warned of livestock breeders in the region about the risks associated with cow’s disease, stressing the need for complete awareness of this disease and taking all the necessary precautions to prevent its spread and protect public health.
This warning came as the most prominent points in a package of comprehensive seasonal guidelines provided by the branch with the aim of maintaining the sustainability of animal, fish and plant wealth in the region.

Risk of cow’s tuberculosis

Eng. Al -Choueed stressed in particular the danger of cow’s disease, explaining that it is one of the common diseases that can be transmitted from infected animals, especially livestock, to humans, causing health problems that may be serious.

He explained that human infection may occur as a result of direct contact with sick animals, or more commonly through the consumption of “unpasteurized” raw milk or Albanian products manufactured from it.
He indicated that the cause of this disease is a type of bacteria known as “diligent intuitive”, pointing out that the role of the ministry includes intensifying efforts to introduce breeders to the main symptoms that may appear on the affected animals, which include general wasting, weight loss, inflammation and clear lymph nodes, in addition to a concrete decline in the quantities of milk production.

Speed to consult a specialist veterinarian

In this context, the Director of Agriculture Department stressed the importance of not neglecting or delaying the consultation of the specialized veterinarian as soon as any of these pathological signs is observed on any of the heads of livestock.
He pointed out that the careful diagnosis process of the disease depends mainly on conducting a skin reaction test known as the “Seline Test”, whose results reveal the existence of the injury.
Al -Choueed called on all livestock breeders in the eastern region to initiate immediate communication with the nearest veterinary unit or clinic of the ministry in the event of any suspicion of an injury in their herds, in order to ensure the necessary preventive and treatment measures are taken at the appropriate time.

Seasonal guidelines for hunting and agriculture

Within other seasonal instructions provided by the Ministry’s branch, Eng. Al -Shewyd also indicated the start of the period of the prohibition of crabs, known locally as “Al -Qabib”, which has entered into force since the fifteenth of March and will continue for two consecutive months.
He explained that this ban, which includes all the territorial waters of the eastern coast of the Kingdom and comes within the framework of a unified Gulf decision, aims to protect the stock of the tribes during its breeding period and ensure its sustainability as an important marine resource.
The seasonal guidelines included a recommendation for the eastern region farmers related to plant wealth, as he advised them to benefit from the current period of the spring “March” to start vaccinating Sidr trees, as the ideal period for the success of these operations due to the appropriate climatic conditions and the start of the flow of juice in the trees.
He emphasized the commitment of the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the eastern region to continue its pivotal role in awareness, guidance and control, with the aim of protecting livestock from diseases, ensuring the safety of food products, contributing to preserving public health, and supporting sustainable agricultural practices that serve comprehensive development goals and vision of the Kingdom 2030.
