The opening summit of emerging technology governance starts in Abu Dhabi next May

Abu Dhabi, March 26 / WAM / The ATRC has announced today the opening summit of the arrival of the emerging technology “Gets”, in Abu Dhabi on May 5 and 6.

The summit, which will bring together more than 500 regional and international participants, aims to enhance global cooperation in the field of emerging technology governance, such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
The summit bears the slogan “towards an effective year of emerging technologies and a safe digital economy”, and seeks to establish solid frameworks for technology governance and encourage comprehensive dialogue between various partners and stakeholders, with a focus on criminal justice, in addition to the sectors of financing, manufacturing, health care, education and creative industries.
The advanced technology research Council, in cooperation with the Federal Public Prosecution as a strategic partner, hosts the Gets 2025 summit that establishes the foundations of global governance strategies and the future of emerging technologies in major sectors such as: criminal justice, health care, financing, and creative industries.
The GETS 2025 summit is a prominent initiative that confirms the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to form a global dialogue on moral innovation and responsible use of emerging technologies, and also reflects the open and cooperative approach of the United Arab Emirates to innovation policies.
The event brings together a group of leaders from various sectors, including government officials, policy makers, international executives in the fields of technology and industry, as well as researchers, academics and entrepreneurs from startups, and representatives of society, especially as part of young leaders.
The summit aims to address one of the most urgent challenges today, which is the formulation of an official innovation that protects society and enhances technological progress, enhances dialogue on responsible innovation with global technology pioneers and draws the features of a future in which governance, innovation and comprehensiveness intersect to find sustainable and advisory solutions.
His Excellency Faisal Abdulaziz Al -Bannai, Advisor to the President of the State for Advanced Strategic and Technological Research Affairs and Secretary -General of the AdRC, ATRC, stressed the importance of the summit; He said: The Gets summit is a pivotal step towards building a safer and comprehensive future for emerging technologies, and while we face the challenges of artificial intelligence and other revolutionary innovations, the need for increasingly cooperative governance is clear, and this platform represents an opportunity to develop common principles that constitute the future of technology to benefit everyone.
Al -Bannai stressed the importance of teamwork, and said: This summit will be an invitation to work to develop sustainable work frameworks for technology governance with responsibility and real partnerships capable of addressing the complex interaction between technology, justice and society.
In the context of this trend, and an affirmation of the pivotal role of legal experience in designing the future of technology governance, His Excellency Counselor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Attorney General of the Federation, said: Today we are witnessing an accelerated technological revolution, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and web 3 and quantum computing opens wide horizons for progress and prosperity, and with these great opportunities, the importance of setting strong foundations for the governance of these technologies to ensure a safe and fair society is highlighted And sustainable.
He stressed that the summit of the governance of emerging technologies 2025 represents a leading global platform for exchanging experiences and setting the standards of responsible innovation, and said that the Federal Public Prosecution believes in the importance of laying strong foundations for technological governance that ensures that progress is in the service of humanity, and that the future be safer, more and inclusive of all, which requires global continuity and support.
The summit is expected to provide a unique opportunity to attend valuable discussions, build strategic partnerships, and contribute to formulating the future of technology governance.
