4.51 %increased requests for electricity delivery to commercial projects whose loads reach 150 kilowatts in Dubai during 2024

The Managing Director, CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, revealed the high number of requests that the authority received during the year 2024 to deliver electricity to commercial projects through the law of the law by 4.51%, compared to 2023. His Excellency pointed out that this rise confirms the authority’s keenness to keep pace with the prosperity of Dubai and population, urban and economic growth in the emirate, and the increase in demand for electricity and water services.
The service provides consultants and contractors accredited by the authority to connect electricity to projects, which reach 150 kilowatts in two steps and in just 5 days. The number of applications for electricity to projects reached 8,241 applications during the year 2024.
Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer added: “We are witnessing an increasing demand for the services of the smart authority provided to consultants and contractors, which reflects the success of our efforts to enhance Dubai competitiveness in the field of facilitating business. We provide facilities for industrial, commercial and residential projects to accelerate business and upgrade performance, and consolidate Dubai as a major attraction for investments from all over the world. For his part, Eng. Rashid bin Humaidan, Executive Vice President of the Energy Distribution Sector in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, pointed out that the authority’s commitment to provide smart and innovative services and programs to accelerate access to electricity and water services according to the highest international standards and practices. In addition to the law of the law, the Authority provides consultants and contractors the “Falcons” program, the feature of “smart facilities”, the “Aounak” awareness initiative, and the second issue of its technical guide for non -reluctance certificates of infrastructure projects.
