The start of a volcano eruption in southwest Iceland after the evacuation of a town and a spa

Berkane began in the eruption in southwest Iceland today, Tuesday, hours after the authorities evacuated a nearby town and the Blue Lagun spa.
The flames and smoke began to flow into the air after a volcanic slit opened near the town of Grendfic, where about 40 homes were evacuated, according to the RUA in patriotism.
The Recianis Peninsula has been greatly evacuated a year ago, when the volcano began the eruption after it remained dormant for about 800 years.

Molten rocks

Pictures of cameras showed the flowing rock flow from the volcano.
The Icelandic Meteorological Office said: “The fissure is now about 500 meters long and arrived through the preventive barrier north of Grendfic.”
“The fissure is continuing to increase, and it cannot be excluded that it may continue to advance to the south,” he added.

Seismic storm

The Icelandic Meteorological Office said today, Tuesday, that the flow of magma started at about six and a half in the morning local time (0630 GMT) and was accompanied by a strong seismic storm similar to what happened during the previous eruption of the volcano.
