The Cultural Complex organizes an international exhibition of contemporary Malaysian art April 10

Abu Dhabi, April 4/ WAM/ The Cultural Complex, affiliated to the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, organizes the exhibition “To discover Malaysia is to love Malaysia: from the holdings of Alia and Farouk Khan”, during the period from April 10 to September 10, 2025, during which he presents a group of the most important artworks of Malaysian artists pioneering, which enriches the cultural agenda of the state and establishes the position of Abu Dhabi as a center A pioneer of global artistic dialogue.

The exhibition includes the collection of Alia and Farouk Khan’s holdings, which they launched in the mid -nineties, and it is considered the most comprehensive group of the first generation of contemporary Malaysian art, and it was produced during the golden age of contemporary Malaysian art.

The exhibition highlights the intellectual and stylistic development of artists, in addition to their valuable contributions to the technical education and publishing system in Malaysia.

The exhibition, which is organized based on five axes, deals with fundamental aspects of the Malaysian art march, including the emergence of contemporary Malaysian art movement, reflections on historical facts, social and political events from the past and present, cultural transformations, environmental, expressive and preaching surreal transformations.

The exhibition highlights the contributions of the first generation of contemporary artists, and aims to create and achieve a deeper and multi -dimensional understanding of the contemporary Malaysian society.

The list of artists whose works will also be shown in the exhibition include Ahmed Shukri Mohamed, Ahmed Fouad Othman, Ali Norzamal, Anikitini Median, Fawzan Omar, Hamir Saib, Meroor Ramli, Shaschi Suleiman, Youssef Ghani, and Dhu Al -Kafl Youssef.
