"Energy and infrastructure" Launching a project "Humanity of buildings" To enhance the quality of life

Abu Dhabi, April 4/ WAM/ The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure launched the “Humanity of Buildings” project, one of the transformational projects within the third packages projects that seek to achieve the targets of the “UAE 2031” vision, and focus on building a prosperous, possible, cohesive, and internationally advanced society, as well as supporting the UAE Vision 2071 to build a more sustainable and prosperous future.
The launch of this integrated system, which includes preparing criteria and issuing a certificate for the humanity humanity, comes within the framework of the UAE government’s declaration of 2025 “the year of society”, as it directly contributes to enhancing the quality of life and achieving sustainable development, which reflects the state’s commitment to creating more comfortable, healthy and appropriate living environments for the needs of individuals and societies.
It also represents this first certificate of its kind in the region and it is a global certificate of an Emirati nature, which is compatible with the best global practices in the field, which was developed based on international best practices, which enhances the state’s position as a pioneering center in the field of developing sustainable urban environments. His Excellency Suhail bin Muhammad Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, said that the “Humanity of Buildings” project aims to achieve the welfare of its users in the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance the quality of life and support sustainable development, noting that the project represents a qualitative shift in developing the country’s infrastructure.
He explained that the criteria for humanity that were developed aims to provide sustainable and healthy living environments, by applying advanced national specifications that focus on improving air quality, promoting natural lighting, providing thermal comfort, reducing noise, and encouraging physical activity, which contributes to promoting public health and raising the level of individuals and societies.
He pointed out that these criteria reflect the state’s commitment to adopting an integrated approach to urban design that takes into account the cultural identity and the local climate, with a focus on sustainability and innovation in the construction sector.
He added that these criteria lay out clear foundations for providing more comfortable spaces, and help to achieve sustainable development, and that the ministry is working to enhance innovation in the infrastructure sector, through the application of international standards commensurate with the needs of Emirati society, which contributes to achieving the targets of the “Emirates Vision 2071”.
He pointed out that the launch of this project is a pioneering step that enhances the UAE’s position as a forerunner in developing sustainable and humanitarian architectural specifications, and confirms its leadership in the field of smart urban planning that achieves a balance between urban progress and the well -being of individuals, and that this initiative supports the state’s efforts to transform into a sustainable economy based on knowledge and innovation, which makes it a global model to be followed in the field of urban design that is friendly to human beings And the environment.
His Excellency the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure affirmed that the application of the standards of “human buildings” contributes to achieving radical transformations in future housing and infrastructure projects, as these standards will be adopted in new projects to ensure the provision of more sustainable and healthy living environments.
For its part, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure called on all concerned authorities in the government and private sectors to joint cooperation to implement these standards on a large scale, and to seek to obtain the Emirati certificate specialized in the field in a way that guarantees a more comfortable and prosperous future for future generations.
