Creators in the media “race organized by” Education “and” American Dubai “

The American University in Dubai, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, revealed the details of the ninth edition of the “Creators in the Media” competition 2025, which targets the twelfth grade students of citizens and residents in various state schools, to present ideas stolen in the space of artificial intelligence, and how to use it in the work of the media of all kinds, provided that it is applicable in the future using its various technologies.

Dr. Keel Long, President of the University, said in exclusive statements to “Emirates Today” that the competition attracted this year 134 male and female students, representing 25 schools at the state level, including 13 government schools and 12 private schools, where they presented their work in both Arabic and English, with 112 posts in Arabic, and 22 in English.

Student creativity

He stated that the competition in the current academic year 2024/2025 focused on student creativity in the field of media and artificial intelligence, and the first winner is scheduled to receive a full scholarship for study at Mohammed bin Rashid Media College at the American University in Dubai, while the three winners after him are honored with various valuable prizes, provided that the results will be announced during an official ceremony in the month of April, in the presence of officials from the Ministry of Education Education, university professors, school principals, teachers, and parents of the winners.

Arbitration mechanisms

In his stance with the jury’s work mechanisms, he stressed that the participants are subject to accurate sorting by a jury that includes university professors and specialists from outside the university, to choose the best proposed projects that rise to the level of creativity and future practical application, explaining that 20 male and female students were chosen from the applicants to present directations (PRESENTITIONS) in front of the committee during the coming period, in preparation for choosing the winner of the grant Great study.

Participation requirements

On the participation requirements, he explained that the ideas of the participating students must include a new and unprecedented inventory aspect, so that they provide perceptions of projects that exceed the traditional boundaries, as well as the use of science fiction and the foresight of the future in proposed designs, allowing the participants the opportunity to provide innovative solutions that can affect positively in the future.

The expected effect

He added: “The participant must clarify in his idea the importance of the project and the groups benefiting from it, while highlighting the expected influence in the event that this invention is applied on the ground. The illustrations or supporting data such as infographic are an essential part of participation, to clarify the idea of ​​the project visually and supported by facts.”

Presentation

Each participant is also required to prepare a direct presentation (PRESENTATION) that does not exceed five minutes, in order to be able to explain his idea briefly and effectively in front of the jury, and the contestants must include their basic information provided that the file is sent to the email: nmakansi@aud.edu before the deadline to receive the posts, which is determined for this year February 28.
