Abdullah bin Zayed confirms the UAE’s support for diplomatic efforts and the protection of civilians in Gaza

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received today in Abu Dhabi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, Gideon Saar.

His Highness also reaffirmed the urgent importance of pushing towards finding a serious political horizon to restore negotiations to achieve a comprehensive peace based on a two -state solution, and the need to work to end extremism, tension and escalating violence in the region, and the concerted efforts of the international community to meet the aspirations of their peoples in security, stability and a decent life.

His Highness pointed out that the tragic conditions experienced by civilians in the Gaza Strip, which require all efforts to ensure the flow of urgent humanitarian aid in a safe and sustainable manner and without obstacles.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the positions of the historical historical brotherly Emirates towards the Palestinian people, stressing the UAE’s steadfast commitment to support the brotherly Palestinian people and their right to self -determination, which will spare no effort to extend a helping hand to the Palestinian brothers and provide the necessary humanitarian support to them in a way that meets their needs.

The meeting was attended by Saeed Mubarak Al -Hajri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs, and Muhammad Mahmoud Al Khaja, the UAE ambassador to the State of Israel.
