The European Court of Accounts indicated that about 7 billion euros (7.6 billion dollars) were granted to NGOs by the European Union, through internal policies between 2021 and 2023.
The court – the European Union’s Supreme Audit Corporation – said that the European Commission did not correctly reveal support activities funded by the European Union, such as pressure campaigns.

It also indicated that the European Union is subject to the risk of deformation of reputation because “there are no effective controls to ensure respect for NGOs that receive funding for the values of the European Union.”
On the other hand, the union is experiencing a crisis with America on the impact of commercial fees, as French Finance Minister Eric Lombard said that the European Union’s response to American customs duties may include organizing the use of the data of major American technology companies.
