The start of the activities of the 20th International Festival for the nominal Bedouins in Morocco

Rabat, April 12 / WAM / The activities of the 20th session of the International Bedouin Festival in the Mahamid Al -Ghazlan region of the Moroccan region of Zagora, were launched, under the slogan “City without walls in the heart of the desert.”
The opening ceremony included an artistic show presented by the “Emertan Timbuktu” band from Mali, and popular reviews from the oases area represented in the “knee”, “Ahidus”, “Shamra” and “Al -Kadra”, along with special paintings of the “Lee Begin de Sable” band on the impact and tunes of drums, Al -Ganbury and Al -Quraysh machines.
The festival program is full of musical performances from the Nass Ghiwane group, and the Moroccan artist residing in Hungary Saeed Tishiti, who mixes his artistic product between the Amazigh, Kenawi and Al -Hassani heritage. And a mixture of heritage and modern music provided by the duo “Sarah and Ismail”, in addition to the participation of the “Qadir Terhanin” band, the Tuareg music stars, the band “Mohamed Ali Ala”, and the “Ibrahim Al -Ghafiri” band in addition to traditional Kurdish pieces of the “Merkot” band.
The course program also includes cultural and artistic exhibitions to discover traditional crafts, taste local cuisine, and enjoy desert dances and ancestral sports, as well as art exhibitions that highlight the creations of craftsmen that show the beauty and diversity of the Sahara.
Meetings and seminars will be organized within the nomadic forum, discussing environmental protection and sustainable development issues in the desert areas, and workshops on digital security, and the festival will witness the organization of the “hockey” game on sand and camel race.
The edition of this year of the festival is characterized by the “Driver Caravan”, which is organized by the Moroccan Internet Association (MISOC), with the aim of empowering the nomads and the residents of remote areas of the digital age tools, and its program includes workshops on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital identity and entrepreneurship, which shows a qualitative shift in the role of the festival as a bridge between originality and modernity.
