“Health” calls for participating in the largest effectiveness of walking in various regions of the Kingdom

The Ministry of Health has announced the opening of registration to participate in the fifth edition of the “Amish 30” event, which is one of the largest community health events in the Kingdom, which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 26th, in a number of cities and regions of the Kingdom. Commitment to a rate of 150 minutes walking per week, to prevent chronic diseases, and improve mental and physical health.

This event comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Health to enhance societal awareness of the importance of physical activity, support the targets of the health sector transformation program and the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, aimed at raising the average life expectancy to 80 years, and improving the quality of life through a healthy and active lifestyle.

It is noteworthy that the “Amis 30” event, since its inception in 2019, has achieved successive successes and attracted wide posts in various regions of the Kingdom, becoming one of the largest sustainable societal initiatives in the field of health promotion, and the “Cotler” international award was awarded for the category “Best Health and Wellness”.
