Under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a workshop was held on the presidential initiative & quot; Alliance and Development & quot; And how to participate in technological universities in the initiative and benefit from the advantages of participating in it, on the sidelines of the activities of the second international conference for technological education, which is held during the period from April 8-10 under the title: & quot; Today’s education for tomorrow’s jobs & quot; with the participation of a number of heads of technological universities and a group of higher education leaders, industrial men and experts in the field of technological education around the world, and a number of university students Technology.
& nbsp; Technological universities in the & quot “Alliance and Development”, noting that this participation represents an essential pillar to achieve a concrete economic impact that contributes to supporting the national economy, in the context of seeking to achieve the sustainable development goals that the state places within its priorities, according to the Egypt Vision 2030, noting that the presidential initiative & quot “alliance and development & quot; It is an initiative to stimulate creativity and entrepreneurship regionally with the partnership of higher education and scientific research institutions, industry, entrepreneurs, investors, and government agencies concerned.
& nbsp; From government universities, especially technological, in addition to research centers; In order to stimulate innovation and enhance entrepreneurship, explaining that every alliance will work within a specific and promising and high -growth sector, as well as the activities of these alliances within a geographical scope of a specific region, in a way that enhances the resettlement of development, and doubles the economic impact, stressing that these alliances will represent effective local engines for economic development, advanced centers for innovation, and vital platforms To embrace startups; This makes it leading tools in creating sustainable job opportunities and building a competitive knowledge economy, noting that the ministry has allocated one billion pounds from donors to support the initiative; In order to finance research projects with developmental feasibility. It includes building capacity, awareness, and communication between its members; With the aim of establishing startup companies, conducting scientific research, completing development operations, and preparing infrastructure with the necessary technological equipment; To ensure the efficiency of performance, in addition to management and coordination between the various parties to achieve the maximum possible benefit. Between 25 to 60 million pounds, it is spent in the form of grants and investments, in partnership with the coalition, and many workshops will be implemented on designing a sustainable environmental system for innovation, investing in relative advantages, and steps to accelerate regional entrepreneurship, while providing consulting teams for each alliance, stressing that the framework will be based on the MIT University program to accelerate entrepreneurship regionally; Which will contribute to the creation of an innovative system based on policies and regulations aimed at enhancing innovative and pioneering ability, to achieve a real and real impact on Egyptian society. The strategy, explaining that there are basic criteria that must be fulfilled to apply for the alliance, including defining the purpose of the coalition by defining the targeted sector or sectors, and defining clear goals for the economic development of the coalition members, its working sector and society, and these goals include: attracting investments within the scope of alliance, creating high -value job opportunities, increasing the volume of exports to coalition companies, providing structures for financing and investment, and developing Facilities to support the establishment of companies and attract entrepreneurs, such as: incubators, joint work spaces, and establishing partnerships between the research authorities and the industrial community to produce competitive products and services locally, regional and internationally. Funding from the initiative, explaining that the geographical scope of all coalition partners is not required, provided that 60% of the partners are present within the scope of the geographical alliance, including the basic academic authority, and a coalition management committee must be determined that includes all partners, and a coordinator represents the alliance before the ministry and the external parties, provided that the coordinator is an Egyptian institution, preferably not aimed at profit, and the work team must be mentioned with the initiative with the initiative with Clarify roles and experiences, in addition to creating electronic pages to introduce the alliance, its members, activities, and achievements. To meet the needs of the coalition and the labor market, and research and development projects between industry and universities; To develop commercial products based on scientific research, activities also include universities and companies cooperation in training students and participating in preparing scientific and training materials and implementing graduation projects. The conference also witnessed a review and discussion of 35 scientific research from among 150 submitted research, in addition to 200 innovative student projects, where 75 projects were presented to arbitration committees and investors, and the conference took over three days important axes such as the integration of technological education with national plans, The role of the industry in training, and stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship, as the conference provided a scientific exhibition to display student projects, as well as a platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge about improving technological education systems using modern technologies.
