In a Facebook post, her son Sam Surby announced her death, saying: “With a sad heart, my beautiful mother, Claudag, left in peace among her family. She lived a wonderful life full of love and happiness, and it was the cornerstone of our family.”
Rodgers, who dazzled the fans with her famous song Jack in The Box, won the fourth place in the competition held in Dublin, where she competed strongly against Severin from Monaco, who won first place.
Claudag’s fame was not only limited to the competitions, but it was a familiar face on British television screens during the 1970s, and the songs of the songs were topped between 1969 and 1971 with several successful works such as Goodnight Midnight and Come Back and Shake Me.
Outside the limelight, Claudag was a sincere mother of her two children, Matthew from her first marriage to John Morris, Wissam, who gave birth to her second husband, guitarist Ian Surby, who left her in 1995.
