The United Nations condemns a Russian attack on Kiev

The UN coordinator said in a statement today, Thursday, that the widespread attack by the Russian Armed Forces last night on the residential areas of Kiev and its surrounding areas represents another terrible violation of international humanitarian law.
According to initial reports, at least nine people were killed and more than 70 others were injured, including several children and a pregnant woman. The strikes also caused widespread damage to homes, companies and general infrastructure.
It is expected that the number of victims will rise with the rescue teams continued in search and rescue operations in the rubble.
The UN coordinator concluded his statement by saying: “Civilians should not be targets at all. This absurd use of strength should stop.”
