5 banks pledge to employ 1700 citizens within two years

The Central Bank revealed that five banks pledged to employ 1700 Emirati citizens in the Al Ain region, during the current and next years, stressing that resettlement was included in the comprehensive assessments of all licensed financial institutions, in coordination with the Supervision and Insurance Authority.

In a report issued, he explained that it held several quarterly meetings with senior human resources officials in licensed financial institutions, to discuss the goals and strategies of resettlement, to achieve these goals, and to determine the support that the central bank can provide.

Moreover, the “Central” cooperated with the Emirates Financial Institute to organize open days, aiming to encourage institutions to identify Emirati citizens who can join licensed financial institutions.

The “Central” affirmed its commitment to supporting the licensed financial institutions in the UAE, to enhance their localization strategies and achieve the goals specified in this regard.

He said that “the (enrichment) program contributed to enabling human capabilities in the financial sector effectively, and also contributed to appointing Emirati citizens to vital jobs, supported by specialized training plans.”

The Central Bank announced, earlier, that the licensed financial institutions exceeded their goals in resettlement during the year 2024, and achieved a growth of 152.9% on an annual basis compared to 2023, and the resettlement rate in vital functions increased by 20.2%, compared to 2023.
