المملكة: “Municipalities and Housing” specifies 12 officers for the health certificate
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has adopted a guide for health certificate requirements, with the aim of organizing procedures related to obtaining them, and enhancing the level of health education for workers in the sectors related to food and public health.
The new guide includes several targeted groups, including workers in public food and health activities, and participants in seasonal events such as Ramadan, Hajj, Umrah and visit, in addition to home delivery service providers, whether through electronic applications or mobile and fixed vehicles.
The target groups include workers in relaxation and body care centers, and workers in the home service related to food facilities and public health, in addition to activities that require a health certificate despite not undergoing the supervision of the ministry.
Issuing a health certificate
The issuance of a health certificate requires the fulfillment of a number of requirements, which differ according to the type of activity practiced by the worker.
In the event that the profession is in the list of professions and activities in which the health education test is required, the worker must be authorized to work according to the Saudi labor system, and be healthy, according to a medical report issued by a health authority approved by the Ministry of Health.
It must also pass a health education test in one of the executive centers of the test before issuing a health certificate.
If the profession is not included in the profession and activities list that requires a health education test, then it is only necessary for the worker to be authorized to work, and to be healthy according to an accredited medical report, and then he can obtain a health certificate after paying the prescribed fees.
The evidence emphasized that the renewal of a health certificate is subject to the same requirements for the issuance, as the worker must be authorized to work, and to be healthy according to an accredited medical report, provided that the health certificate is renewed after paying the required fees.
Health education test and its requirements
The evidence pointed out that the health education test is a prerequisite for workers in some professions that have a direct relationship with food and public health.
The applicant for the test is required to see the available educational materials on the “Baladi” platform, or attend the health education program in one of the centers approved by the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training.
The test includes workers in different stages of the food chain, including manufacturing, preparation, treatment, packing, storage, transportation, distribution, and offer for sale.
It also includes workers in public health facilities, such as laundries, beauty salons, and body care centers.
Certificate validity controls
The guide specified 12 officers from the general controls related to the validity of the health certificate, as it is valid for one year from the date of its issuance electronically, with the possibility of renewing it sixty days before its completion.
The evidence also indicated that if the certificate is not renewed within fifteen days from the date of its completion, it is automatically canceled.
The Ministry confirmed that the approved health certificates will be digital through the “Baladi” platform, and paper or printed cards will not be accepted.
The evidence also explained that if the worker wants to change his activity between the fields of food and public health, he must pass the health education test for the new activity.
With regard to the procedures for repeating, the evidence stipulates that if the worker does not pass a health education test in the first attempt, it gives an opportunity to re -test for free, but if he fails in the second attempt, he will be obligated to attend a training program and pay the re -test fees, as the evidence indicated that passing the health education test is mandatory every three years.
Special requirements
The evidence emphasized the obligation of workers in food and public health facilities located within the scope of the Holy Capital Secretariat in the presence of a training program and passing the test before issuing a health certificate.
He stressed the need for all workers in the food and public health facilities to obtain a health certificate, and pass a health education test if the activity is included in the list of professions binding on the test.
The evidence indicated that the beneficiary can cancel the health certificate at any time during its validity period, according to the procedures approved by the ministry.
