“Kyiv Test” .. Russia reveals the three -day truce goals

Russia announced on Saturday that the truce it suggested from the eighth to the tenth of May, aims to “test” Kiev’s peace.

“The goal of the Easter truce proposed by Russia in April, as well as the current initiative to announce a truce during the celebrations of the eighth, ninth and tenth of May, is a test of Kiev’s readiness to find a path towards a long -term lasting peace,” said Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

On the other hand, French Foreign Minister Jean -Nouil Parrow told AFP that the Europeans are preparing for a new series of sanctions against Russia.

He explained that they want to coordinate it with the United States, if Moscow continues to refuse any ceasefire in Ukraine.
“We Europeans will support this American initiative with the seventeenth sanctions package,” said the French minister in Washington, referring to the Republican Senator who proposed this week to tighten US sanctions on Moscow.
