International officials: UAE is the first destination for cybersecurity and advanced technologies

Abu Dhabi, May 6 / WAM / International officials participating in the “Emerging Technology Governance” summit confirmed that the UAE is a global center for strengthening international partnerships in the areas of cybersecurity, financial technology and advanced encryption, given its leading digital and organizational infrastructure, and a strategic location that makes it a starting point for expanding business towards globalization.

They added in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the summit held in Abu Dhabi over the day 5 and 6 of this year, that this global event, with its in -depth discussions and potential partnerships, represents an opportunity to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors and exchange knowledge and experiences to address the increasing challenges in the cybersecurity, and build more efficient and sustainable technical systems.

In this context, Nid Farhat, the founder and director of the Australian company “Cybersage”, specialized in digital investigations and cyber security consultations, said that the UAE represents a strategic center at the geographical and economic levels, which makes it eligible to lead global cooperation efforts in facing financial crimes and cyber threats.

He expressed their aspiration to establish an office in the UAE soon, as the company is currently conducting talks with Emirati bodies to provide its specialized services in cyber consulting, digital investigations, and developing advanced artificial intelligence systems to enhance cybersecurity in institutions, indicating that the UAE is an ideal base to expand the company’s operations towards the entire region.

He explained that the emerging technology governance summit provides qualitative opportunities to enhance international partnerships, as it constitutes an active platform to discuss cross -border financial crimes, pointing out that international cooperation is the only way to confront this type of complex threats.

For his part, Tim Derry, CEO of cybersecurity at “M-Pesa Africa”, said that this summit represents a vital platform for knowledge participation in the fields of financial technology and data protection, stressing the need to transfer experiences and experiences learned from the summit of emerging technology governance to Africa to enhance the security of customer data and partners.

He indicated that “M-PESA”, which is one of the largest digital financial services providers in Africa, serves more than 61 million subscribers in 11 countries, and seeks to achieve more financial inclusion through innovation, stressing that the Emirati experience in cyber legislation and organization provides a role model.

He explained that the company is currently focusing on expanding within the African continent before heading to markets outside it, stressing that cybersecurity will remain a decisive element in supporting this growth, especially in light of the escalation of risks related to modern technologies and the increasing dependence on data.

In turn, Yan Herfimiz, the technical head of the Quantom Gate company, which specializes in advanced encryption tools, explained that the UAE is one of the first countries to developed clear regulatory regulations for post -quantum encryption technologies (PQC), along with the United States, which reflects its leadership in this advanced sector.

He pointed out that the company is working in partnership with the Institute of Technology Innovation in Abu Dhabi to develop specialized solutions in data security and encryption assets, stressing the importance of enhancing institutional awareness of the risks of post -quantum technologies, and the importance of institutional structures capable of managing encrypted assets efficiently.

He explained that the company has developed a technical solution, the first of its kind that enables institutions to draw a comprehensive map of encryption origins and manage them effectively, in addition to other solutions in the fields of data security and communications, which were developed in line with the requirements of cybersecurity in the post -quantum era.
