Istanbul, May 10 / WAM / on the sidelines of the visit of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, to the Turkish Republic .. The United Arab Emirates University signed a partnership agreement with Ibn Khaldun University, to establish the “Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Center for Teaching Arabic Language” on the university campus in Türkiye.
The establishment of the center comes in appreciation of the efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak in strengthening the Emirati -Turkish cultural relations, supporting it to expand the scope of knowledge between the two countries, and her highness to spread and teach the Arabic language to non -native speakers.
The partnership agreement was signed by His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, President of the United Arab Emirates University, and Professor Attila Arkan, President of Ibn Khaldoun University.
The center aims to provide educational programs specialized in teaching Arabic to Turkish and international students, organizing training courses and workshops, as well as supporting scientific research in the fields of Arabic language and culture.

The center also seeks to be a platform for cultural dialogue and promoting joint understanding between the Arab and Turkish worlds through cultural activities aimed at introducing Arab culture.
His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh stressed that the center that will bear the name of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak embodies the vision of “Mother of the Emirates” and its pioneering efforts in supporting and publishing the Arabic language at the international level, noting that the center will be a cultural and educational beacon that enhances the presence of the Arabic language and contributes to extending bridges of civilized communication between peoples.
He said that this partnership reflects the commitment of the United Arab Emirates University to enhance global cultural dialogue and expand the fields of education and knowledge, in a way that contributes to spreading the Arabic language and consolidating its position, pointing out that the center will constitute a bridge to enhance academic and research cooperation between the UAE and the Turkish Republic, and in a manner that supports cultural and knowledge exchange between the two sides.
His Excellency Zaki Nusseibeh pointed to the university’s keenness to provide an integrated educational environment that provides distinguished opportunities to study the Arabic language, and meets the aspirations of those interested in the Arabic language and culture in the Turkish Republic.
For his part, Professor Attila Arkan, President of Ibn Khaldoun University, expressed the university’s pride in signing an agreement to establish a scientific edifice bearing the name of a prominent global figure in social, humanitarian and development work, valuing the pioneering initiatives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak in the service of Arabic language and culture on the international scene, and stressed that the partnership with the United Arab Emirates University is a leading step towards establishing the Arabic language as a language of science and culture in circles Academics and students in Türkiye.
It should be noted that the United Arab Emirates University will support the center’s activities and educational programs, with the aim of ensuring the sustainability of the development of the Arabic language in Türkiye and enhancing its academic presence at the global level.
