The Abu Dhabi Investment Office launches a campaign to develop the skills of a new generation of Emirati industry leaders

Abu Dhabi, May 21/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Investment Office announced the launch of a set of training and talent development programs, as part of the supportive efforts to qualify national competencies to lead the high -influential industrial sectors, which is one of the basic pillars of Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy.
The new initiative was unveiled during the activities of the “Made in the Emirates 2025” forum, with the aim of enabling national competencies and providing them with the necessary skills in the areas of artificial intelligence, advanced technology, and sustainable manufacturing.
These training tracks contribute to refining the skills of Emirati citizens, to qualify them to take over pivotal leadership positions, and enhances the levels of innovation and productivity within the industrial sector in the country.
These programs also support the goals of the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy 2031 and the “300 billion project”, and reflects the state’s commitment to enabling national competencies with global level skills, which enhances Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global center for leading future industries.
The Abu Dhabi Investment Office is cooperating with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, in order to launch a program and exhibition for the jobs allocated to industrialists, with the aim of bridging the existing gap between training and entering the labor market.
This initiative contributes to enhancing the participation of national cadres in drawing the features of the future of the industrial sector in the emirate, as it aims to train a number of Emirati citizens to work in strategic positions within the industrial sector in Abu Dhabi.
The office also works in partnership with the Rabdan Academy, one of the most prominent academic institutions in Abu Dhabi in the fields of safety, security, defense, preparedness for emergency and crisis management cases, in order to provide a program of skills development and development program for more than 100 Emirati citizens working in the industrial sector.
This step aims to enhance professional growth, improve productivity and provide flexible professional paths for Emirati talents at various job levels.
The most prominent training programs include the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Sustainability Program, which was developed in cooperation with the Edge and Innovation Center and the company “Tüv Süd”.
This global practical program focuses on automation topics, digital systems and sustainable production, which contributes to the rehabilitation of highly skilled Emirati workforce forces capable of leading the advanced industries sector. The program is expected to provide 1,000 new job opportunities for Emirati citizens by 2031.
Mohamed Al -Kamali, CEO of Industry and Trade at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, said on this occasion, that the programs for training and developing Emirati talents constitute direct investments in the new generation of future makers in the UAE, where the workforce is provided with important skills and helps them enter global markets, which enhances the competitiveness of Abu Dhabi and allows Emirati citizens to lead industrial programs at the local and global levels.
