Ministry of Environment: Removing large quantities of migratory bird hunting nets in the North Burullus Reserve

Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment, announced the success of the efforts of the Ministry of Environment through the Burullus Natural Reserve in removing large quantities of bird hunting nets inside separate areas in the north of the reserve, to protect migratory birds on its seasonal journey. Monitoring and protection programs implemented by the nature protection sector in the ministry and within the framework of intensifying continuous patrols within the natural reserves to remove any fishing window in order to protect the residents residing and migratory at the beginning of the immigration season. A Birr Bridge links Asia and Europe, and comes second as the most important pass to migrate birds globally, where hundreds of millions of birds cross twice every year between the continents of Europe and Africa, as well as internal migration in the continent of Africa. Including the winter season in the wet areas of Egypt, noting that more than 500 species of birds are monitored during the fall and spring seasons of each year. & nbsp;
