Dubai .. The opening of the “Environmental Art 2025” exhibition

Dubai, May 25 / WAM / The Zayed International Environment Corporation opened today the Environmental Technical Exhibition in its first session of 2025 under the slogan “Art and the Environment – Sustainable Impact on Humans and Earth”, in the Hetorciac for Public auction in Oud Maitha area in Dubai, and will continue until May 31, with the participation of more than 30 students and 4 international artists and in cooperation with the Dubai Police, Dubai Police Academy and Protection Schools.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Hamdan Khalifa Al -Shaer, Vice -President of the Foundation, on behalf of His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Ahmed bin Fahd, President of the Foundation, in the presence of Dr. Isa Abdul Latif, Senior Adviser, and Engineer Salma is ready, Director of Partnerships and General Coordinator of the exhibition.

Dr. Muhammad bin Fahd said in a message on this occasion that the exhibition reflects the philosophy of environmental art as a soft power to spread environmental awareness, noting that the exhibition keeps pace with the issuance of a documentary book that explains the scientific and artistic context of each painting in terms of its relationship to the desert climate, atmosphere, soil and water resources in the Emirates, and also contributes to spreading environmental solutions through expressive technical templates.

The exhibition witnessed the participation of music teams from protection schools under the supervision of Captain Mohammed bin Shafia, and the effective participation of students of “SB Jin” and Ajman University under the supervision of Dr. Christopher Abraham, Dr. Nada Al -Sayegh, and Dr. Dalia Hafez, and the young artist Amira Rashid Jassim Ali presented the attendees music compositions on the violin.

Dr. Hamdan Al -Shaer talked about the importance of environmental art as an awareness tool, noting that the exhibition represents a unique platform to display innovative environmental initiatives, and art translates complex scientific issues into influential visual messages.

Eng. Salma, who is ready, emphasized that the exhibition is the fruit of an intellectual partnership with the artist Noureddine Tabet, President of the Riad Contractor Foundation for Art and Environment, with the participation of international artists from Morocco, China and Senegal, within the philosophy of “one or more hand”, which was translated through collective paintings that reflect environmental and human concepts.

The exhibition focused on five main axes: land reform, desertification, water conservation, the role of women in environmental reform, and Dubai initiatives in combating climate change, within the framework of the green national agenda of the UAE 2030.
