"Energy and infrastructure" Participate in the World Facilities Conference 2025

Abu Dhabi, May 26/ WAM/ The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure is participating in the activities of the fourth edition of the World Facilities Conference 2025, which will start tomorrow in Abu Dhabi and will continue until May 29, as part of its continuous efforts to enhance international cooperation, and review its future initiatives aimed at accelerating the transformation in the energy and water sectors, and achieving the sustainable development goals of the state.

During its participation, the Ministry reviews a package of leading national projects and smart technical solutions that it has developed to enhance the efficiency of energy and water demand, reduce carbon footprint, and ensure the sustainability of vital resources.

It also highlights the Emirates Energy Strategy 2050, which aims to raise the contribution of clean energy to 30% by 2030, and to increase the productive capacity of renewable energy to 14 GW in the same year, as well as the national strategy of hydrogen 2050, which puts the state in the ranks of producing and low -carbon -carbon -exporting countries, in addition to the national program for managing order and water 2050, aimed at reducing energy consumption by 40% and water 51% compared to the usual scenarios.

The Ministry focuses within its participation on its future targets, which is to enhance digital transformation in energy and water facilities, as it reviews a set of interactive digital models that contribute to supporting the efficiency of planning and sustainable management of these vital facilities, and raising its readiness to keep pace with the requirements of the future, in a manner that ensures the continuity and flexibility of services, and enhances the state’s ability to adapt to challenges.

His Excellency Eng. Ahmed Mohamed Al -Kaabi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Electricity, Water and Future Energy Sector, stressed that the Ministry’s participation in this year’s edition comes within the framework of its commitment to support the national agenda of climate neutrality, and to continue to build effective international partnerships that contribute to achieving the historical “Emirates Agreement”, indicating that the conference represents a vital platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences and keeping pace with the latest global innovations in the utilities sector.

He said that the ministry believes that the sustainable transformation requires adopting proactive policies and smart investments in clean energy, expanding digital infrastructure, and stimulating innovation in various areas of energy and water efficiency, and this is what you work on in cooperation with its partners in the government and private sectors.

His Excellency added that participating in the conference reflects the Ministry’s vision in ensuring the sustainability of energy and water services, and enhancing the efficiency of its national networks, in line with the goals of the “UAE 2031” initiative and “Emirates Centenary 2071”, and enhances the state’s position as a global center for innovation and sustainability in the utility sector.
