The Syrian Minister of Economy praises the inspiring Emirati development model
Dubai, May 28/ WAM/ His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Nidal Al -Shaar, the Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry, praised the development model adopted by the UAE, noting the experience of the Emirate of Dubai in the fields of technology and innovation, and this model was considered an inspiration for Syria in the coming stage.
His Excellency stressed in statements to “WAM” on the sidelines of the closing day of the “Arab Media Summit 2025” in Dubai that economic cooperation between the UAE and Syria is based on the historical brotherly relations that bring together the two brotherly countries, noting that this cooperation constitutes one of the basic engines in the path of rebuilding the Syrian economy.
His Excellency added that strengthening economic cooperation with the UAE represents a strategic direction for Syria because of the promising opportunities that this partnership carries for the two countries, as well as its contribution to supporting the reconstruction efforts and stimulating growth, expressing his aspiration to expand the horizons of this cooperation to include deeper and more diversified areas in order to serve the interests of the two countries and two brotherly peoples.
The slogan pointed out that Syria is currently working on preparing an integrated investment map that includes the vital sectors, including industry, agriculture and tourism, with the aim of strengthening the investment environment and providing qualitative opportunities for investors, stressing that this map will soon be presented to investors, and will provide great flexibility in submission, negotiation and launching projects.
He pointed out that a large part of its components has already been accomplished and was presented to a number of investors, while the relevant authorities are currently working on studying the proposals and observations received regarding them.
The slogan pointed out that the main goal of the investment map and the efforts of improving the investment environment in Syria is to advance the wheel of economic development, and the development of productive sectors by transferring technology and benefiting from international experiences.
