2800 virtual appointments in King Abdullah Medical City for Catheter patients during the Hajj season

King Abdullah Medical City in the Holy Capital recorded more than 2,800 virtual appointments during the first week of Hajj this year 1446 AH as part of its efforts to ensure the continuity of specialized care and enhance the prevention and health awareness of the beneficiaries inside and outside the Makkah Al -Mukarramah region, where the Medical City confirmed that this service comes within the virtual health system that applies it with high efficiency during the Hajj season. Also, the Makkah Health Gathering also made it clear that the virtual care in this year’s pilgrimage this year In the medical city, it included, in addition to the dates, the follow -up of the patients with cardiac catheterization from the use of modern techniques (smart clock) for heart patients, which managed to monitor vital signs while ensuring the highest levels of privacy.

He added that this service was provided to many pilgrims who were able to perform their rituals with a continuous follow -up from a medical staff specializing in this field where patients are monitored remotely in their places of residence, without the need to sleep in the hospital in an advanced model that establishes the concept of “care from anywhere”.

The health gathering indicated that the Minister of Health, during a previous visit, had seen the details of the new headquarters of communication medicine inside the city and continued closely about the work mechanism and the virtual follow -up of a number of cases in the framework of the ministry’s efforts towards enabling artificial intelligence and achieving the targets of national health transformation.
