This came on the occasion of the second meeting of the year 2025 held by the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women’s Foundation, during which the achievements of the Foundation were reviewed during the second quarter of this year and the new projects that intend to implement in the coming period, which include more international partnerships aimed at supporting economic and leadership empowerment of women, organizing dialogue forums and sessions and launching specialized reports in the field of women.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Mona Ghanem Al -Marri, Chairman and Managing Director, and the participation of members of the Board of Directors, Hoda Al -Hashemi, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategy Affairs, Moza Saeed Al -Marri, Executive Director of the Executive Affairs Sector of the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, Khawla Rashid Al Muhairi, Executive Vice President of the Strategy and Government Communication Sector at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and Khadija Mahmoud Al -Bastaki, First Vice President Tikom Group – Dubai Design District, Fahima Abdel Razzaq Al -Bastaki, former CEO for the business development sector in local financial markets, and Naima Al Ahly, Executive Director of the Dubai Women Foundation.
His Excellency Mona Al -Marri said that the agenda of Dubai Women’s Foundation for the year 2025 is bus with many initiatives and projects that are the basis for a new stage in the march of the Foundation’s achievements led by Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and focuses mainly on the support of Emirati women in the Entrepreneurship, Mental Health and Leadership Development Sector and enhancing their presence in global forums and providing inspiring platforms to exchange and acquire experiences.
Her Excellency expressed her thanks for the efforts of all members of the Board of Directors for the various visions and ideas they provide to develop work and a resolution of the Foundation’s work team and motivate it to innovate to achieve the goals and mission of the institution emanating from the strategic goals of the Dubai government, especially the targets of “Dubai Economic Agenda D33”, “Dubai Social Agenda 33”, and “Life Quality Strategy in Dubai 2033”, and etc. Each of them is included in important axes related to the role of women in consolidating economic and social development in the Emirate of Dubai and enhancing the quality of life, which enhances the global position of the Emirate of Dubai a favorite destination for investments and a unique model of living and residence.
During the meeting, the Board of Directors reviewed the distinguished participation of the Dubai Women Foundation at the Expo 2025 Osaka, as part of its continuous initiatives to highlight the leadership of the UAE in the field of women’s support and enhance their presence in international forums.
The Board of Directors praised the successful organization of the Emirati Women Forum in this important global event in cooperation with the national pavilion of the UAE, and with the participation of the leaders of the Emirati inspirational in the forefront of which are Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, the first minister in the UAE.
The Board of Directors, through the presentation presented by Naima Al Ahly, a member of the Board and Executive Director of the Dubai Women’s Foundation, reviewed the projects implemented by the Foundation during the second quarter of this year, which included initiatives to support women in the field of entrepreneurship and highlight their successes in it, including organizing the Ramadan exhibition for business entrepreneurs from Dubai government employees, and launching a series of “Dubai Business Pioneers” sessions, and the “Tamkeen Plus” program for the mayors’ heads Women in government departments and the semi -government sector, which will continue for a full year, including many workshops, interactive sessions and educational programs in the art of leadership, artificial intelligence, mental health, meetings with inspiring officials and leadership figures, and other activities that enhance communication skills in professional and social forums inside and outside the country. The Foundation also signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Dubai Media Academy, at the Dubai Media Foundation, with the aim of supporting efforts to empower women and enhance their pioneering presence in the media sector.
The presentation includes the new projects that the Foundation intends to implement during the second half of the year 2025, including a workshop on artificial intelligence, the intense readiness of the Foundation’s celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, a new session within the mental health program in its second session for the current year, a training course on women and the media sector, in addition to a number of continuous activities within the agenda of the work of the “Tamkeen Plus” program.
