Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence holds the second session of its platform "Miclus"

Abu Dhabi, July 2 / WAM / Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence hosted the activities of the second session of its social communication platform “Mays”, in partnership with “Abu Dhabi Games and Electronic Sports”, under the title “Artificial Intelligence Enter the World of Games”.
The session discussed the increasing influence of artificial intelligence in the gaming sector, from playing and innovation to the narrative and future business.

The “Mays” program is part of the “General Society” initiative launched by the university, and aims to bring students, researchers and sector leaders to exchange ideas and inspire artificial intelligence leaders in the UAE.

Rawdat Al -Muraikhi, Director of Communication and Partnerships Department at Mohammed bin Zayed University for AI, participated in the last session. And Hamdan Al -Ali, a PhD student in the field of natural language treatment at the university; Boris Kalmikov, the founding partner and CEO of “Hibmasters”, and former CEO of “Mita” and “Yuniti”; And Marcus Muller-Shabigi, Director of the Games Strip in Abu Dhabi; Ariana Permodes Venigas, project manager at the university.

The speakers shared their observations and experiences about how artificial intelligence restores the creative game sector, highlighting the opportunities available for local competencies to contribute to the global innovation and creativity process.

In the opening of the session, Rawda Al -Muraikhi confirmed the commitment of the university to establish platforms that enable young people and motivate innovation, explaining that the “Mays” initiative represents an area that combines young minds with specialized expertise and ambitious creators, to start impressive discussions about the great capabilities of artificial intelligence in causing qualitative transformations in pivotal sectors such as health care, energy, arts, education and transportation.

Marcus Mueller-Shabiig said that artificial intelligence does not replace human creativity or innovation, but rather contributes to its enhancement and expansion of its horizons, noting that it has become an enabling tool in the field of electronic games that opens new unprecedented fields, from allocating the player’s experience to developing more interactive narratives.

He added that “Abu Dhabi Games and Electronic Sports” focuses on supporting local competencies and enabling individuals and companies who explore innovative solutions to advance the wheel of this sector.

For his part, Boris Kalikov discussed the qualitative transformations made by artificial intelligence in playing methods and user experiences, and reviewed in -depth visions about the ability of artificial intelligence to reshape the dimensions of business and narrative narration in the modern games industry.

The event shed light on a number of authentic research projects submitted by doctoral students at Mohammed bin Zayed University for AI; Ariana Permodes Venigas, whose research focuses on computer vision and human embodiment (Avatar), presented a presentation on the simulation backed by artificial intelligence and interaction in actual time within virtual environments, while Hamdan Hamad Al -Ali presented a group of games supported by artificial intelligence and inspired by Emirati heritage, such as “badge” and “stories Emirati “, which mixes cultural narration and educational mechanisms in games.

The program concluded with an open dialogue session, during which it had an opportunity for the attendees to ask questions and discuss ways to harness artificial intelligence in drawing the features of the future of the creative economy.
