His Highness said in a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Humanitarian Action, which falls on August 19 of each year, that celebrating this occasion renews the UAE’s commitment to exerting all efforts and providing all capabilities for projects and programs that serve humanity, in a way that reflects its impact on various parts of the world, and embodies the hope of a better future for many societies, based on the belief of the wise leadership that giving and human solidarity does not recognize the borders Contributing to building a more humane and compassionate world.

His Highness added that the UAE represents a model to follow in humanitarian and relief work and sustainable development, and thanks to its ambitious vision and its immortal heritage remains a forerunner with the initiatives of humanitarian giving based on an integrated and sustainable work system, with the aim of upgrading the quality of life and building a bright future for societies, in addition to providing support and urgent assistance in times of crisis and disasters, indicating that humanitarian initiatives The state is consistent with the goals of the “General Society” in contributing the active in the field of relief and enhancing the culture of shared responsibility in the speed of humanitarian response.

He said that this day represents an occasion to express the great appreciation of the efforts and sacrifices of all workers in the humanitarian sector and the heroes of the first ranks of relief work in the UAE and the world, who perform their duties towards humanity with great dedication and sincerity and continue their efforts to reach the targeted groups and affected societies in the world’s most dangerous regions, their energies to improve people’s lives.

The Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works during the coming months of this year 2025 is implementing various initiatives, the most prominent of which is the “Winter Bag” project directed at tens of thousands of targeted groups around the world, especially with low and medium income, which contributes to reducing the repercussions of deficiency of heating materials and winter supplies.

It also works to complete several health projects, including a project to use artificial intelligence for early detection of diabetic retinopathy in the Kingdom of Morocco in partnership with the “Nour Dubai” Foundation, and the project to restore and equip the Emirates Hospital for Ophthalmology in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, in addition to entering Sheikh Zayed Hospital in the Pakistani Cambps for service after being equipped with about 20 beds to provide public medicine, emergency and obstetrics. With regard to water projects, the Foundation is implementing a plan to establish and dig about 105 new water wells in Egypt, Jordan and Tanzania, to provide a permanent source of drinking water and agricultural uses, which contributes to improving the living conditions of the local population.

The Foundation also continues its participation in the humanitarian and relief efforts of the UAE by providing aid to the affected peoples around the world, as it participated in humanitarian initiatives to support the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip within the “Al -Faris 3” initiative, in addition to its efforts in supporting societies affected by natural disasters such as Türkiye, Kenya and others.

The Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works during the past months of this year succeeded in announcing sustainable development projects that affect human needs in the education and health sectors and care for people of determination and water and agricultural projects that serve the most needy groups in a number of countries in the world, stressing their commitment to continuing its humanitarian message aimed at alleviating human suffering and promoting sustainable development around the world.
