With the participation of “Ikrom” .. the conclusion of the 20th session of the International Summer School for Youth and Heritage in Bosnia

Sarajevo on August 10 / WAM / The activities of the twentieth session of the International Summer School for Youth and Heritage “ICYH20”, organized by the Bosnia International Forum in Bosnia and Herzegovina, concluded with the participation of the International Center for the Study of Study and Cultural Property “Ikrum”, and its regional center in Sharjah, with the aim of training and inspiring a new generation of specialists in protecting and preserving cultural heritage, especially in the post -post -time stage Crises.
The program witnessed the participation of 23 young men and women from 13 countries, representing various professional and academic backgrounds, as they had the opportunity to interact field with prominent heritage sites in the cities of Sarajevo, the Mostar and Stolez, and to learn about realistic models of societies recovering from the effects of conflict through heritage.
The course was held during the period from July 24 to August 9, and the program included lectures, seminars and applied workshops, as well as cultural sessions under the title “Cultural Mosaic”, during which the extraordinary experiences and heritage were exchanged between the participants.
The course focused on the topic “the importance of cultural heritage in promoting peace and the ability to withstand societies after conflicts”, and highlighted the ways to protect heritage as a catalyst for societal recovery.
The representatives of the “Ikrom” regional center in Sharjah stressed the importance of the summer school as a practical platform for the rehabilitation of young cadres, and the development of their capabilities in documentation, digital modeling and emergency interventions, which contributes to enhancing efforts to preserve heritage in the Arab and global world.
The program concluded with the presence of a number of international officials and experts in the field of heritage, during which it was emphasized the importance of international cooperation in developing specialized training programs and enhancing the sustainability of cultural heritage.
