Sharjah, September 2 / WAM / “Shorouk” announced the addition of a new qualitative project in the city of Kalba to the portfolio of its projects in the “Art and Culture” sector, which is the “Kalba Center for S rocks”, which is one of the largest and richest sites of rock inscriptions in the United Arab Emirates and represents a window on the history of the region through what it includes from the inscriptions and monuments dating back to the Neolithic period or what preceded it, under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad The highest ruler of Sharjah, under the auspices and follow -up of Her Highness Sheikha Badour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Sunrise).

This came during the “Shorouk” announcement of the developments of a group of its development and tourism projects in the city of Kalba, which includes the “Rahal” hostel and the “Kalba Beach” project aimed at consolidating the city’s location as an integrated destination for environmental and cultural tourism and a promising destination for specific investment.

Shorouk revealed that the implementation of the construction works of the “Kalba Center for S rocks” project is currently taking place by the Public Works Department in Sharjah with a total area of ​​approximately 3,574 square meters in a unique location located on Tal Sakhri directly off the coast near the Hafeeh and the waterfront in Kalba and the construction work is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of the year 2026.

Shurooq works in cooperation with the Sharjah Antiquities Authority and with the participation of many scientific institutions, academic bodies and international experts, as well as local efforts to document rock art on the site. Among the most prominent of these missions are the World Digital Heritage Foundation specializing in digital documentation, which mixes, documents and provides them with researchers and those interested in digital platforms.

The center will include more than 400 inscriptions on 150 rock blocks, including animal drawings dating back to the Neolithic period, the bronze age, and the Iron Age, in addition to stone houses, graves, and hills of shells from periods that extend until the nineteenth century with subsequent symbols that are due to newer periods such as horse riding and copper son -in -law.

Upon completion, the center will contain interactive educational offers and service facilities such as a café and gift store, provided that “Sunrise” will manage and operate in cooperation with the Sharjah Antiquities Authority after the opening to ensure that its heritage value preserves and provides an integrated cultural experience for visitors.

On the latest developments in the “Kalba Beach” project, which is one of the most prominent tourism structure projects that it developed, “Shorouk” explained that the project, which extends over an area of ​​700 meters of scheduled to be completed in the last quarter of the year 2026. The beach includes 11 commercial units that include restaurants, cafes, kiosks, chapels and an internal games area with facilities fully prepared for persons with disabilities as well as the standards of “Blue Science” To ensure a clean and safe marine environment in addition to the use of environmentally friendly building materials, it maintains natural systems.

Kalba Beach represents an economic and social platform that enhances the quality of life and provides a new investment environment that supports small and medium enterprises and encourages local entrepreneurs to enter the guesthouse sectors and marine services. The beach has also created an opportunity to cooperate with penal and reform institutions to manufacture wooden umbrellas within the project.

With regard to the “Rahal” project, which is developed by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Sunrise) under the umbrella of the “Sharjah Group of Hospitality”, the authority revealed that it is scheduled to be completed in the last quarter of this year, indicating that paths for mountain walks were added with a length of 7.44 km of which is a moderate path with a length of 5 km suitable for beginners and professionals and the last more declining with a length of 2.44 km that reaches one of the peaks of Kalba For adventure lovers, in addition to the 4.39 km mountain bike tracks, designed according to the standards of global sustainability and safety, taking into account the preservation of natural habitats in the region.

“Rahal” is characterized by its location on mountainous terrain. The project includes 20 luxurious cabinets that depend on a hybrid energy system that includes solar panels and high -quality natural materials, each of which contains a special barbecue area in addition to a major cabin at the entrance to the project, which provides a restaurant and facilities to serve guests.

The project provides environmental and cultural activities that reflect the identity of the natural and cultural city of Kalba, such as monitoring rare birds, outdoor yoga and camping under the stars, as well as a societal space that gives visitors an integrated experience in the region.

These projects are part of a comprehensive strategic plan for “Shorouk” aimed at diversifying the local economy, creating new job opportunities, stimulating entrepreneurship, and embodies the authority’s projects in Kalba, the emirate’s commitment to a development vision that achieves a balance between environmental protection, enhancing the economy, and devoting Sharjah’s position as a leading tourist and investment destination.
