Overcome the challenges of the first 40 days after giving birth

Coming home and the baby crying
When you get home, your baby’s crying becomes the focus of your daily life. You may feel unprepared or cry for no reason, and these are completely normal feelings. Advice: Take your time, don’t pressure yourself to prove anything, and let the experience take its natural course.
Your body after giving birth
You will notice obvious physical changes, with fatigue and possible pain. Do not compare yourself to how you were before, as the body needs time to recover. Drink plenty of water, eat healthy food, give yourself rest, and see a doctor if you have any abnormal pain.
Breastfeeding
You may experience difficulties at first, such as delayed milk or difficulty for the baby to latch on to the breast. This is normal and does not mean failure. You can seek help from a lactation expert, or choose artificial feeding without feeling guilty, as motherhood is measured by tenderness and care, not by the type of milk.
Volatile emotions
Postpartum hormonal disruption may make you laugh and cry, love your baby and then feel afraid of responsibility. If these feelings continue for more than two weeks or you feel difficulty communicating with the baby, consult a specialist doctor, as postpartum depression is a normal health condition that requires support and treatment.
Arranging the house and guests
Comfort is more important than arranging the perfect home. Set your priorities, ask your spouse or family for help, and be clear with visitors about their visits.
Your partner and baby
Share the responsibilities of caring for the child with your husband, as this strengthens the relationship and helps you get some rest and sleep.
Day 40: A new beginning
With the passage of 40 days, you will begin to understand your child more, your body will gradually recover, and you will feel more confident and calm, so you can begin your motherhood journey with stability and positivity.
