Imprisonment and a fine against her former assistant

Hala Sedqi had submitted an official complaint to the Public Prosecution in South Giza, in which she accused her former assistant of insult, defamation, and blackmail, after she contacted a number of those close to her to pressure her to return to working with her, threatening, in the event of her refusal, to publish offensive content on social media platforms.
During the course of the investigation, Hala Sidqi’s lawyer submitted official documents and digital media that included audio and video recordings documenting the incidents of insult, defamation, and blackmail. He also requested to hear the statements of the prosecution witnesses whose names were mentioned in the lawsuit petition.
After listening to the witnesses’ testimonies and examining the clips presented, the Public Prosecution confirmed their authenticity and that they included offensive expressions bearing the nature of insult, slander, and slander against the artist Hala Sedqi, which paved the way for issuing the ruling against the accused.
