14 deaths as a result of cold and collapse in less than 24 hours in Gaza

The deep storm and severe cold that has struck the Gaza Strip since yesterday caused the death of 14 citizens in less than 24 hours, in addition to a series of massive collapses in several areas, while civil defense crews continue search and rescue operations under the rubble.
Civil defense and ambulance sources reported that six citizens died as a result of the collapse of a house for the Badran family in the Bir area. Al-Naja, north of the Gaza Strip, while two other citizens died as a result of the collapse of a wall in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in Gaza City this evening. A citizen also died yesterday after a wall collapsed in Al-Shati camp.
The sources added that a child died yesterday due to the extreme cold in Khan Yunis, while two other children died today as a result of the extreme cold in Gaza City. A citizen also died as a result of the collapse of a residential building, and rescue crews are still searching for missing people under the rubble.
Civil defense crews indicated that about 15 houses have collapsed so far in various parts of the sector, the most recent of which was in the Al-Karama neighborhood and the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood a short time ago, confirming the continuation of dealing with the effects of the collapses and searching for survivors in light of the weather conditions.
