10 titles lead "Sharjah chess girls" An exceptional first quarter

Sharjah, June 3 / WAM / The Sharjah Girls Chess and Culture Club continued to confirm its strong presence on the local chess scene after achieving a distinguished result during the first quarter of the current season by winning 10 titles and various achievements in local tournaments, in a clear indication of the continuous development of the technical levels of the players and the success of the development programs pursued by the club.

The past period witnessed a remarkable brilliance of the club’s female players in individual and group competitions, as the under-10 team won the General Teams League title, and the under-18 team won the General Teams League title in an achievement that reflects the strength of the Sunni base and the continuity of artistic work within the club.

In terms of individual achievements, player Anoud Issa stood out by achieving three important titles, which were winning first place in the UAE Under-16 Rapid Chess Championship, the UAE Women’s Rapid Chess Championship, and the UAE Women’s Blitz Chess Championship, confirming her position as one of the most prominent emerging talents in the country.

Player Ohoud Issa also continued her brilliance by winning second place in the UAE Rapid Chess Championship for under 16 years, while player Maryam Khaled won second place in the UAE Rapid Chess Championship, and Badriya Al Suwaidi achieved second place in the UAE Blitz Chess Championship.

Najla Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Girls Chess and Culture Club, confirmed that the honorable results achieved by the players represent a new addition to the series of excellence in various competitions and reflect the quality of the work system within the club in all circumstances, in addition to the continuous development in competitive levels.

She said that what was achieved during the first quarter represents a strong motivation and motivation for future participations, praising the high performance, high competitiveness and great determination shown by the female players in various tournaments.

Al Shamsi congratulated the outstanding female players on the distinguished results, stressing that the club continues to implement its future strategies aimed at empowering female players and developing their skills in a way that contributes to reaching the podium and raising the country’s name high with the support of the wise leadership and its vision of empowering women’s sports.
