Preserving cultural heritage
Membership comes as a result of the experience gained by the Saudi Society for Heritage Preservation since its founding in 2010 in applying the policies and directives of UNESCO in the process of preserving, safeguarding and transmitting intangible cultural heritage to future generations.
It is noteworthy that the committee consists of six international experts and six associations accredited by UNESCO to evaluate the files that are nominated to join UNESCO’s list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and the extent to which they meet the standards and conditions for registration on the list.
