The Ministry of Finance organizes the 2th edition of "Financial Media Forum" May 1
Dubai, April 28 / WAM / The Ministry of Finance is organizing the second edition of the “Financial Media Forum” on the first of next May under the title: “The Future of the Financial Sector … between influence and responsibility”, as part of its efforts to enhance the principle of transparency and social financial awareness in cooperation with the media and educational sector in the country.
The Ministry stated in a statement today, that the forum comes as a continuation of the success achieved by the first version and brings together a group of experts and decision makers, to highlight the latest developments in the financial sector and the role of the media in enhancing societal awareness, with the participation of government officials and representatives of financial, media and academic institutions from more than 40 entities, along with more than 100 participants from the media and students specialized in the fields of financial and economy in national universities In the state.
The forum opens, His Excellency Younis Haji Al -Khoury, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, and includes a group of speakers and participants, His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al -Shehhi, Secretary -General of the Emirates Media Council, and His Excellency Mohamed Al Hammadi, Acting Director General of the Emirates News Agency “WAM” and Ali Abdullah Sharafi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for International Financial Relations in the Ministry of Finance, along with a number of heads of national universities in the state and heads of editing media institutions.
His Excellency Younis Haji Al -Khoury said that the Financial Media Forum is a strategic platform that brings together media professionals and financial experts, which contributes to enhancing the common understanding of financial and economic developments, and we aim through this event to social empowerment by providing specialists with the necessary knowledge and developments in the financial sector to spread financial knowledge and enhance economic transparency, in line with the government’s directions towards sustainability and economic development, especially since the financial media has become more today The importance of ever in light of its pivotal role in transferring accurate information and analyzing economic trends, which contributes to building a society that is aware of the variables capable of adapting to it, whether at the level of governments, companies or even individuals.
The forum – which is held in Dubai – aims to highlight the future of the financial sector in the UAE, by discussing axes that include the future trend of the financial sector, the partnership between the public and private sectors, sustainability and the future of government spending, and the role of media institutions in enhancing financial awareness, as well as a session on financial awareness and social welfare industry.
The activities accompanying the forum include an interactive session on training and employment opportunities in international financial organizations for university students within the “Cottun Emirates International” initiative, and a specialized workshop that highlights the best media practices in the financial field, to review the principles of governance and analysis of financial statements, which are dedicated to media professionals in addition to presentations that contribute to enriching dialogue and exchanging experiences between the participants.
