Nawal Al-Kuwaiti explained, on the sidelines of her concert that she performed in Qatar, that she was surprised by some people circulating this news, and she responded spontaneously to the topic of her retirement from art, saying: “I am as surprised as you.”

She pointed out that the issue of retirement is “a matter for every artist, but I will announce this matter if I decide to do so, and I will be frank with the audience.”

At the same time, the Gulf star insisted on ignoring the decision to withdraw her citizenship, and did not talk about it in press interviews or on social media, and focused on her interest and talk about her concerts, new artistic works, and the songs that she will perform at the concert, explaining that she chose songs that were requested from the Qatari audience. Indeed, in addition to some special songs that she decided to perform, she said: “I added a few songs to them because I wanted to sing them.”

The public had circulated a short video clip in which Nawal appeared sad while inside the airport with her only daughter, and indicated that she was leaving the State of Kuwait, in implementation of the Kuwaiti authorities’ decision to withdraw citizenship from her and a large number of people without explaining the reasons.
