Al-Dhanhani added to “Emirates Today”: “I achieved several championships with Sharjah, and I am only missing the league championship that I dream of achieving with (The King), and I strive every season to present my best technical level, and I always try to challenge myself without comparison with any other player.” “I try to identify my positives and negatives, so that I can correct the mistakes and develop the positives.”

He explained: “Coach Cosmin’s advice is considered a turning point in my career, along with the advice of senior players with long experience, whether with national teams or clubs, such as Shaheen Abdul Rahman, goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani, and Majed Hassan, and these advice have helped me a lot in my journey.”

Al-Dhanhani (27 years old) appeared this season with an advanced technical level, and imposed himself among the main elements in the national team and Sharjah Club squad, as he played mainly in eight matches during the past nine rounds of the league, with playing minutes amounting to 692 minutes, and also contributed to Sharjah topping its group in (AFC Champions League 2), qualifying well to the round of 16.

Regarding the secret of Sharjah’s excellence this season, Al Dhanhani said: “Cosmin’s guidance, the players’ solidarity, the management’s efforts, and the great support that the team enjoys from the public represents the greatest motivation for the players to give everything they have, and even though the team suffered one loss until the ninth round in the league against Shabab Al Ahly in The sixth round, after minor details caused this loss, the team is going through its best stages, as evidenced by the fact that it is currently at the top of the league.”

Regarding the national team and its chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, Khaled Al-Dhanhani said: “The country has provided a lot for us as players and athletes, so I hope that we will achieve something with the national team by reaching the World Cup, and we will give everything we have on the field.” He added: “Although the national team has gone through stages Ups and downs, but constructive criticism puts any player back on the right track, and we are currently on this path,” explaining: “Despite some of the criticism that we are exposed to as players in the national team from some… The fans, but the national team players are human beings, and they have feelings, so I hope that they will put themselves in our place, and in turn, no player will be stingy in giving everything he has on the field to make the Emirati fans happy.”
